UntitledeHaus will have the opportunity next year to share their building philosophy with the Building Officials Institute of New Zealand (BOINZ) at their annual conference held in April. This came about when the CEO, Nick Hill, along with a large group of  inspectors made a visit to the eHaus showhome for an Air Tightness test demo. Thomas van Raamsdonk of Proclima had organised the event for a little light relief to an all day meeting in Wanganui. After the demo I had the opportunity to talk about the other features of eHaus and how they all combined give the owners a healthy and warm environment to live in. There was a real buzz in the group as things dropped into place. It was helped with the local inspectors who have all had the opportunity to get their heads around what we are doing and why. The following day Nick Hill emailed me this:

In a couple of weeks eHaus is going international when we join forces with The University of Auckland’s Dr Paola Leardini in presenting a paper at conference in Canada entitled  “A Global Perspecitive on Energy Efficiency”  We are sharing the stage with other Passive House professionals from around the world as we explore with delegates the opportunities to lessen the burden on our finite resources. After the conference I will be running an eHaus one day workshop Kiwi style for those that have had their interest raised at the conference and want to find out more. The weekend after on the 26th of October the date is set for our 8th workshop in Palmerston North click the eHaus tab on this website to find out more and register.
