eHaus Lends a Hand is Back for 2026!

Community is at the heart of everything we do at eHaus Manawatū. That’s why we’re excited to announce the return of eHaus Lends a Hand for 2026!

We’ve teamed up with More FM Manawatū to give back to the region that supports us every day. Together with our generous promotional sponsors, we are offering over $10,000 worth of building services and materials to help bring a deserving local project to life.

Whether it’s a school needing an outdoor area revamp, a kindergarten searching for new shelter, or a local sports club or charity with a building project put on hold—we want to hear about it!

How to Nominate

Getting involved is easy! If you know a local group that could use a boost:

Visit the More FM Manawatu 92.2 or eHaus Manawatū Facebook page.
Find the eHaus Lends a Hand promotion post dated Monday, 10 August 2026.
Like the post and leave a comment tagging your nominated group, along with a brief explanation of what building project they need and why they deserve to win.
(Alternatively, you can also enter by texting HAND to 559).

Nominations Open: 9:00 AM, Monday, 10 August 2026
Nominations Close: 10:00 AM, Thursday, 20 August 2026
Winner Announced: Friday, 21 August 2026 (Live on More FM & via social media)

Terms & Conditions

Nominations & Entry Guidelines

Nominations will be accepted from 9:00 AM, Monday 10 August 2026 until 10:00 AM, Thursday 20 August 2026. Entries received outside this window will not be eligible.
Nominations must be submitted via the original More FM Manawatū Breakfast Club social media post dated 10 August 2026 or via the designated text option.

Eligibility

Nominated schools, kindergartens, or community groups (sports clubs, charities) must be located within, and directly benefit, the Manawatū region.
Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of eHaus Manawatū and MediaWorks (More FM) are not eligible to nominate or be nominated.

Selecting the Winner

The winner will be selected jointly by eHaus Manawatū and More FM Manawatū Breakfast Club based on the creativity of the nomination and the perceived positive impact on the local community.
eHaus Manawatū and More FM will attempt to contact the selected nominee between 10:00 AM, Thursday 20 August 2026 and the public announcement on Friday 21 August 2026.
If the selected group cannot be reached or declines the prize, an alternate winner will be chosen.
The winner agrees to allow photos and media to be taken during construction and upon project completion for promotional/marketing purposes.

Prize Details & Project Requirements

Prize Value: Combined value over $10,000, consisting of $10,000 in labour provided by eHaus Manawatū, plus materials funded by eHaus Manawatū’s promotional sponsors (up to total confirmed sponsorship contributions).
Project Scope: Prior to final confirmation, eHaus Manawatū will assess the estimated cost of the nominated project.
- The winning project must not require council consent.
- If estimated costs exceed the total prize value, the winning group may choose to fund the shortfall, or eHaus Manawatū may agree to complete the build in stages (subject to future funding/availability). If neither option is viable, an alternative winner may be selected.
- Should labour exceed the $10,000 contribution after work commences, additional labour may be staged or funded by the nominated group at eHaus Manawatū’s discretion.
Timeline: The project must be ready to start and finish between Monday 28 September 2026 and Friday 30 October 2026. If work cannot be completed during this window, a new winner will be selected.
The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

General Conditions

eHaus Manawatū and More FM reserve the right to disqualify any entry that violates competition rules, or to modify, extend, or cancel the competition due to unforeseen circumstances. All decisions are final.
Material sponsors bear no liability for the delivery, quality, or completion of the prize.
Entrants must be aged 18 years and older.
Entrants must be residents of Manawatū.
