Abodo's carefully crafted timber cladding

Abodo timbers are sustainably grown in New Zealand forests, whose rich soils and high annual rainfall ensure rapid growth. With a total forested area of 1.8 million hectares (Forest Owners Assn, 2018/19), New Zealand’s high yielding Radiata Pine plantations are the perfect source for raw material. They choose only the highest quality logs, which are then sawn in close proximity to the plantation. This means that transport related emissions are minimised and operational efficiencies are maximised.

Laminate floors and wool carpets

Brands: Bremworth / Flooring Xtra

Flooring Xtra are committed to creating a circular economy that reduces its impact on wildlife habitats. Their laminate floors are made entirely from remainders of the forestry and wood industry, and use only commercial wood species such as pine and spruce. All their laminate floors are Ecolabel stamped.

Our partners at Bremworth are committed to removing plastic from their carpets. We love the new Bremworth story of returning to pure wool carpet production and saying goodbye to plastic fibres. The average Kiwi home with synthetic carpet is similar to having 22,000 plastic bags on the floor (by weight). Bremworth have drawn a line in the sand and ceased production in favour of wool.
