Clare and Peter decided to buy a high-performing, energy-efficient eHaus that maintains a 20 degree temperature year round after Clare’s Rheumatologist advised that their “old and cold”, 1940s bungalow was making her rheumatoid arthritis worse.
She was becoming miserable in the old house, even though they had insulated the ceiling and underfloor and put in double glazing.
Clare says the new high-performing eHaus has taken away stresses. “I don’t have to be covered up with three or four layers” she says. “I could have held off and been really, really unwell. But we decided to make life a bit more enjoyable.”
