Situated with a commanding view over the popular and growing Foxton Beach community, this architectural version of the barn style genre is a modern take on a timeless simple structure. This building delivers high vaulted ceilings and creates the space to accommodate a large loft space for guests or crafts.
After researching ways to build an eco-house we discovered eHaus Manawatu. From our first meeting and throughout the build we knew we had a committed team who wanted to deliver a house of exceptional quality, ease of living and a joy to inhabit. We needed a lot of flexibility in our home as our elderly parents were going to live here. We wanted a guest suite, and a dedicated office within a tight footprint. The designer and builder listened and came up with innovations that gave us everything and more. Would we build an eHaus again - absolutely yes!
Every one of our projects are energy modelled using the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP). It's through this powerfully clever tool that we can accurately calculate just how much heat energy every eHaus will save when compared to a similarly- sized typical new home, built in the same climate region.
We believe that our homes should have a big impact on the way we live, but little impact on the land. We've calculated the amount of carbon our homes have saved through energy efficiency from move in day 'til now. At their core, eHaus' are built with the elimination of carbon emissions in mind - so we're not only creating healthy, comfy & high performing homes, but spaces that don't cost the earth.
