Dunedin Passive Co-Housing Project Tour

In Dunedin Cohousing Project by andrea4 Comments

eHaus Otago are proud to be building the first Passive House Co-Housing project in New Zealand.  Located in Dunedin, there will be 21 Passive House homes built. With construction of the project passed the half way point, Rob, Managing Director of eHaus Otago, takes Jess, one of the future resident on a tour and they discuss what Jess is looking forward to most about living in her new passive house and how it will redefine the way Jess and her family live.

All the Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) are now up on the Alva Street units.
The exterior of the High Street units is currently being painted

Thank you Merris. We are very proud to be apart of this development.

  1. How awesome. Will the houses/apartments be for sale, rent, or some other kind of arrangement? Curious as to how it’s all going to work – very exciting to see NZ finally starting to catch up on housing etc.

    1. Hi Ruby
It is very exciting to see this happening in the NZ industry. The homes/apartments were all sold prior to construction. It’s a great concept which gives honour to community and sustainability. We’d love to be involved in many more of these projects which we know will become more common in the near future. Let us know if we can help you further! Best regards, eHaus
