Foundations complete and ready to rise

Getting Lydia Pl out of the ground has been a carefully coordinated process, with each stage requiring close collaboration between our team, engineers, and Council.

We kicked off with the foundation footings for the garage and landscaping retaining walls, followed by the blockwork for both the garage and one of the retaining walls. From there, we moved into tanking and protecting the exterior garage walls before installing drainage and completing the backfilling – a critical step for site stability and safety.

With the backfilling complete, we were able to move onto piling. Using an auger, the team drilled pile holes for both the house and decks. Despite challenging weather conditions, they pushed through to prepare the piles and garage slab for concrete. A major milestone was achieved when we poured the concrete for both the piles and the garage slab on the same day. The piles were completed using a line pump and tremie method to displace the water and ensure a solid pour.

We’re proud of the progress so far and excited for what’s next – constructing the sub-floor and watching Lydia Pl begin to take shape above ground.
