This captivating home offers three bedrooms, including a spacious master bedroom with an ensuite and walk-in robe. With a total area of 177 square meters, every area has been thoughtfully designed for optimal use.

This project stands as a testament to the unwavering dedication of its owners. They embarked on a remarkable journey of exploration into the world of passive houses, investing hours in research until they found eHaus. Their vision was a certified passive house in Oamaru, and their unwavering determination paid off. This home meets the eHaus Euro performance standard, delivering 91% predicted heat energy savings and is the first certified Passive House in Waitaki.

This home is equipped with incredible features such as a Stiebel Eltron hot water heat pump that provides energy-efficient hot water, while a Zehnder Ventilation Unit guarantees clean, fresh air circulation throughout the house. The triple-glazed high-performance glass, a fully insulated concrete pad and 140mm timber framing allow for exceptional insulation, delivering year-round comfort and energy savings.

FROM OUR CLIENTS

Winter was so different from what we’re used to, not having to worry about the cold or condensation on the inside of the windows. It’s really quiet, warm, and no breeze, and when we get home in the evening it is really refreshing to walk into the house and it be just the right temperature without us turning anything on.

— Sam & Ashleigh

Extraordinary heat energy savings.

Every one of our projects are energy modelled using the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP). It's through this powerfully clever tool that we can accurately calculate just how much heat energy every eHaus will save when compared to a similarly- sized typical new home, built in the same climate region.

This project is making significant carbon savings for a better environment.

We believe that our homes should have a big impact on the way we live, but little impact on the land. We've calculated the amount of carbon our homes have saved through energy efficiency from move in day 'til now. At their core, eHaus' are built with the elimination of carbon emissions in mind - so we're not only creating healthy, comfy & high performing homes, but spaces that don't cost the earth.
