Asthma and Respiratory Foundation NZ Silver Sponsor

Respiratory conditions accounts for one in eleven of all hospital stays in New Zealand costing $6.7 billion every year and is the third leading cause of death. One in eight children and adults have asthma in New Zealand, with damp, cold and unhealthy housing conditions a key contributor to these statistics.
eHaus shares the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation's vision that all homes should be healthy and comfortable while taking care of the environment.

The Asthma and Respiratory Foundation wants to see those statistics change and for all New Zealanders to breathe easier. The Foundation’s purpose is to lead respiratory health knowledge through research, education, and advocacy, with the goal of reducing respiratory related hospitalisations, and improving respiratory health outcomes for all.

The Foundation works to achieve this through a combination of activities including; developing clinical best practice, encouraging self-management, improving health literacy, delivering education, and raising the national profile of respiratory disease in New Zealand.

eHaus shares the Foundation's vision that all homes should be healthy and comfortable while at the same time taking care of the environment. Living in a warm and dry environment is good for everyone, but for people with a respiratory condition it is vital for them to stay well. Constructing the healthiest, energy-efficient homes is our goal, and the work the Asthma & Respiratory Foundation does is a perfect fit for eHaus. That is why we are proud to be partnering with them and offering some solutions for the respiratory health of all New Zealanders.
